Not all of the Mages were of course so inept, but the ones he chose to do the labor work, were of course the ones he’d be thinking on. Titus had a great many decent followers, the problem with most of them however, was the fact that with peace being so long lasting, they had gotten soft and Sky understood his frustration on this matter as she felt it too and was certain she wasn’t the only other one. She laughed slightly to his comment though, as it was true to that degree and the thought of the boys moving the shelves about as Titus and herself sorted and collected the books with a nice cold ale in hand to taunt them all the more, well, it was in her nature to enjoy such a thought.
“Oh, perhaps we could make a sliding shelving system on the ninety-eighth floor?” She then suggested. “This way, we do not have a clutter and all the books will fit nicely, besides giving it a newer look.” She raised a brow in question, her dark onyx orbs coming to life at the thought she was picturing in her mind. “Truly, shouldn’t be too hard a thing to accomplish and if they don’t have a clue as to how it could be done, I can hand them a few books and they can learn.” She then stated still with a smile on her lips, though an underlying growl of sorts as to their laziness. “This library is filled with ‘how to’ books, as the regular population doesn’t have the means to do it any other way.” She gave him a wink then.
Sky had acted as though she’d totally disregarded his last flirtatious kiss, but she had done anything but ignore it. She was just waiting to get everything else out and up for consideration first, after all, sometimes work comes before pleasure, though not all the time in her book.
Sky then turned so that she was facing him, her bright shiny smile faded to be replaced with a most seductive poise and she set her onyx orbs straight on his, a static charge running through her own as her front teeth ran over her bottom lip, followed by her tongue that licked them slightly and retreated slowly. “Oh, you haven’t been that lucky my friend.” She stated with as close to a purr as humanly possible just before she ran her index finger down the side of his cheek, and with it the slightest static enhancement to prove a point, and allowed the hand to go all the way down his chin from his hairline and slowly drop down over his chest until it met the counter where she withdrew her hand and simply continued to look at him with that seductive poise for a moment before she giggled. “Oh how I do love you my friend.” She said and then turned with a little bounce and reaching over a stack of books took up a glass of water and took a sip before settling the glass back down where she’d gotten it from.
“So, are you gonna have them start this evening then?” She asked with a once more quirky, yet shiny smile. “I can go get those volumes on shelving units if you want.” She continued. “Then perhaps we can get started on our little book party tomorrow morning?” She raised a brow in question. “That is of course, if you don’t have anything pressing by then.” She added.

Titus listened carefully to Sky’s idea for the ninety-eighth floor and quite liked the plan really. He even laughed at her musings at the other mages’ ineptitude. His thoughts were pleasantly interrupted though by the heavily distracting manner in which she addressed him. The old mage had paused and simply been gazing at his old friend as she traced her fingers down his face, neck, and chest.
“Well I have been lucky even to know you my dear.” Titus said finally. “Even more to have any affection. I will always welcome more fortune yet though.” He finished with a wink and a grin.
“I love your plan.” He started then, getting back on track a little bit. “It will save us from spreading the ninety-ninth over so many more floors and keep it all quite near instead. I’m certain we can have it worked up and yes, the boys will be starting work tonight so we will have books to sort by morning.”
Titus stood up straight and pulled off the desk he had been leaning on through the whole conversation. “I’m certain nothing more important than my good old friend will ever come up.” He told Sky with a warm and honest smile. “Your friendship does mean a lot to me dear.”

Sky of course smiled at his response to her playful seduction and then walked around the corner as he stood back form the counter. She was moving to collect the books they might need for the shelving units. It didn’t take her long to make her merry way down an isle and then after plucking three volumes on ‘how to’ she bounced back to Titus’s side and planted them on the counter next to him.
“There, these should do nicely.” She told him as she gave the books a little pat with her hand.
Sky was honestly very excited about this move; she’d been spending her time in a little room above the library here for so long now that she’d never though about living anywhere else, and she felt a change would do her some good, besides the fact that she’d definitely get to see more of Titus. It wasn’t just eh move wither, she loved to organize things and this was just one more opportunity to do so, and to do it along side an old friend, well, that just made it all the better.
Sky turned to him again, this time with a truly loving smile. “As does yours Titus.” She replied to his friendship comment.
“Ooh, I can’t wait.” She then said all excitedly. She was feeling like a little girl all over again.

“It’s good to see you happy Sky.” Titus said merrily. He truly was happy to see her so excited. He never did see enough of her, and though she was almost always in a good mood, she was not usually so excited. “I like the bounce in your step this morning.” He concluded the thought with a kiss on her forehead.
“I’ll bring these up the tower for the boys to read.” He said then as he picked up the books Sky had collected. “I’ll send them your regards along with it too.” He added, giving her a light laugh too.
“I’m very glad we’re doing this dear.” Titus began then. “I look very forward to working more closely with you and seeing more of you day to day. Our visits have been far too few.” He truly was rather excited about the whole idea. Sky was one of only a very few people who Titus had ever truly bonded with, and all the others had either been long dead, or resided in far away lands. He did quite love his old friend, and with his recent reinvigoration from new friends and students, he was growing to long again for closeness. It had been a long time since he had thought too much on the importance of strong personal bonds. Too many of his close friends and cherished loved ones had come and gone along with the empires he had seen rise and fall in his three thousand years of life.

Sky smiled at the kiss to the forehead, it was the sweetest gesture and one she always loved to have him give her. “Well, it is something I happily blame on you.” She returned to his comment of the bounce in her step. “I have been packed inside that room up there for far too long, hiding away from everyone.” She gave a half laugh. “Though I know someone else who had been hiding for a very long time as well.” She then winked at him. “I think this could be the start of something much more for all of us.” She then stated. “And I think perhaps there is a little Vampire Queen that just might need thanking.” She mentioned offhandedly.
It was true; Titus had been stuck in his tower for a very long time. Alone fro so long until not so many days earlier, he had begun talking to and spending time with the Queen and Sky did have every intention of thanking her for bringing him back to the living once again. Of course, she herself had been hibernating as well.
“Oh please do send them my regards.” She told him with a little spark in her eyes. “I should think that they’d be happy for my request.” She grinned almost evilly as she now leaned on the counter from the outside where Titus stood.

Titus laughed at Sky’s musing over the two of them being shut ins, and shook his head in agreement to it. “I’ll gladly take the blame for that.” The old mage replied happily. “And I’m certain that Kyrea would be pleased to take responsibility for my recent social stimulation. I’m certain having you up there will make for many wonderful times.”
Titus could easily imagine the stimulating conversations he would inevitably have with Sky living just down the steps from him, especially with Kyrea visiting regularly. The three of them would surely be blessed with great talks and ideas. Of course, discussion was not the only thing Titus looked forward to with Sky. He always enjoyed her company, and could definitely use the woman being so close. It did get lonely in the tower, even though he took his regular trips out and about in the town. There just was usually no one to relate to.
“The boys will be happy to hear your idea I’m sure.” Titus concluded with a laugh. The men in question were sure to actually resent the plan. It only meant more work for them.

Sky smiled, or rather continued to smile as Titus spoke. She was certainly very happy to see him excited about the move as well and she felt that having a constant presence about to turn to would be a saving grace. Certainly Titus was always there up in that tower if she had needed him for anything, but there were times when she simply would sit in her own little room alone, wishing she’d had someone to cuddle with or talk to in the middle of the night, and she knew Titus wouldn’t mind if she turned girlie on him every now and again. What were friends for after all.
“I honestly can’t wait to meet her, she sounds like a very nice woman, and besides…” Sky chuckled lightly. “I just might have someone to help pick on you now.” She added with another playful wink. “As for the boys…” She trailed off and giggled then, this time like a little schoolgirl. “They’ll get over it, or maybe start getting the hint?” She raised a brow in hopes. “One can only hope.” She finished with a sigh. “Oh Titus, honestly I don’t understand them sometimes.” She then added on a serious note.
It really did disturb her, the way some or rather most of the guild had become. She would spend so many hours trying to convince them at times that they needed to crack down on themselves, but to no avail. She hated to see them wasting themselves away like this, hated to see any one doing that. It wasn’t as though she disliked them for being lazy, no. It saddened her to no end to see them become like they had.

“That’s wishful thinking my dear.” Titus said with a smirk, though it wasn’t altogether funny. He was of course terribly disappointed by them all, but he had almost grown accustomed to the fact. The only thing Titus found he could do any more was keep a good humor about it all. “You never will understand them Sky.” He continued then with a slow shake of his head. “Because you’re simply wiser than they are and you can’t think their way any more than I can.”
Titus smiled again, not having been thrown off too long by the inept mages of his order. “You will meet Kyrea soon enough I’m sure.” He said truthfully. “She seems intent on visiting regularly to intake some of the knowledge we hold so dear here.” That wide smile spread across Titus’ face again as he started to think again on how the tower’s library was finally getting some more appreciation again.
“She picks on me already.” The old mage said, jokingly rolling his eyes in faked feign. “I can only imagine what it’ll be like when I’ve known her longer, so you wont even need to convince her.” Titus laughed and shook his head a little at Sky. He didn’t mind the teasing at all; in fact, he quite enjoyed the humored attention.

Sky shook her head and sighed at his comments about the others. She wanted to say more but thought better of it just now, this was a happy time for them both and she refused to let anything get in the way. Besides, she would have plenty of time to talk about them later, after she’d been settled in.
“Oh, I am so sure we will get along fine then.” Sky returned with another spark coming to her dark orbs and leaving just as swiftly as it had arrived. “I am so glad you don’t mind the attention because I just can’t help myself, but you already know that, and if I am thinking correctly about Kyrea, she will more than likely prove to be a fireball when she wants to be.” She told him with a wink.
Sky knew people; she was after all one of the best people watchers she knew. Even though she hadn’t actually known the little Queen, it was just the way Titus described the little woman that brought her to this assumption.
“So, I will stop by sometime in the morning and see how things are going then.” She told him then. “I honestly am very glad you offered Titus.” She then added. “I think this will be a good thing for the both of us.” She finished and simply smiled up at him.

“I’m glad too dear.” Titus replied plainly, and very happily. “I can’t wait to have you around so much. It really will be wonderful times.”
He hadn’t much more to say on the line of Kyrea, so simply smiled, chuckled a little, and nodded to what Sky had to say about her. “I will be pleased to see you in the morning.” He said, smiling widely still. “It’ll be quite the site to welcome the day with. You come on up there as soon as you like.”
Titus really was eager to have his old friend moved in to the tower. It would actually be the first time anyone else actually would have a residence in the mages’ white tower and Titus couldn’t wait to have Sky in the tower. It really was lonely, and there should after all, be someone other than himself up there. She was the perfect person.

Sky took a deep breath and then smiled at him further. She watched him for a moment as he spoke, her dark orbs simply smiling along with her lips. Though she hated to admit it, it was about time for her and he to be saying their farewell for the moment, but there was tomorrow and as far as that was concerned, the rest of their lives ahead.
“Well, I guess I should be getting back to work here.” She then stated, standing up straight now and looking around at the people seated at the various tables and then at eth stack of books that needed putting away, there really was quite a lot of them.
Sky then took a few steps forward and wrapped her arms around his waist and gave Titus a nice hug. “See you in the morning then” She smiled up at him, her hands still wrapped around him.

“Yes I will see you in the morning.” Titus replied in like manner as he put the three books down on the desk and wrapped his arms around Sky’s waist as well. It wouldn’t be long, really before they met again the next day, but their chat had been so nice. It was that time though, when they did need to part and each get a few things done.
“Don’t worry about the time of day either when you want to come on up.” He said then, giving her another kiss on the forehead and releasing her from his arms. “I’ll get up for you any time at all.” He finished with a wink.

Sky giggled at his comment as she released him so that he could go. She didn’t reply at first but instead walked back around the counter and started collecting tombs in her arms to be put back on the shelves.
“Oh, well that’s nice to know.” She flashed him a wide grin and shook her head then laughed. “I do so love you Titus.” She stated and then turned back to her tombs once more. “See you in the morning.” She said in farewell as she went back to work.
