Name
Iowan Lianas
Race
Human
Profession
Ice Mage/Healer
Age
700
Likes
Winter, nice frosty drinks, books, chocolate, children, people watching, ice skating
Dislikes
Fire, summer, basically anything hot, those who would harm children.
Weapons/fighting knowledge
None, her weapon is her will alone and that’s strong enough.
Magic
Power to turn anything or everything to ice as well as Healing.
Her healing is her secondary power however, and though she can do some great things with it, she is not overly powerful in this area and still does require the use of her herbalist knowledge at times.
Appearance
Paler than most as she detests the sun and heat. She has very pale long whitish-blonde locks with ice blue eyes. She stands about 5’8” tall and is of average built, not too athletic, but not lazy and soft either. Her choice in clothing would be, whatever she sees fit to wear at any given point, though is partial to long silken gowns that aren’t too tight.
Nature
Iowan is kind enough, though is no saint. She chooses neither good or bad though is more than likely to help another out than she is to harm them, though still, has no reservations again killing another human if she is crossed. She is not short tempered but does like her solitude when she desires it and will be snappy at times as well.
History
Iowan grew up in a small village just outside what is now part of Celesta. Her father, Bronose, was a White Wizard and her mother; a simple woman with no powers whatsoever. She was loved and well taken care of as a child, her father noticing her talents as soon as the age of three, took to beginning her training at that moment through games of will and fun, to make his daughter interested in what she had to offer.
Her training moved to books and less enthusiastic things when she was able to read and understand things more at around age 10, of course, her reading started way before that, it wasn’t anything serious until about 10years of age.
She was a good student, wanting and willing to please her father and mother, and quite enjoyed all the attention and time her father gave her. In short, her becoming well trained in her magic was an easy thing for her for love of spending time with her father.
Though her mother eventually died of old age when Iowan was 60, putting her mother at around 85. Nothing tragic other than her loss simply died in her sleep one night. Her father stayed at Iowan’s side though for the next 200 years, both training and studying and traveling the world together. It wasn’t until later on when Iowan was about 600 that her father took ill, and even with all her healing knowledge, was unable to cure his sickness.
Though greatly saddened by her loss, she was old enough to take what had become of her family. She has, by now understood the meaning of loss and how to deal with it. She holds no guilt for not being able to help her father, he had taught her well in how to handle these situations, having lived long himself and seeing many die in his own time.
Now she lives in Celesta, and often frequents the White tower and can usually be found there, studying or out in the city simply watching other humans and their nature as she is fascinated at hw people live and interact with one another, even herself at times, and she perhaps always will be.
Iowan has written a few books stashed in that white tower, books on Ice and how it is created as well as healing and even one on loss. The latest being written to help those younger Mages to deal with the many losses they would certainly feel in their long life spans.
