Surreal grinned when the man took the weight off her back and clapped him on the shoulder. He certainly was much more sturdy than her sickly form.
"Thanks! With you carrying that bag we'll be there in no time!"
She turned to make sure that Stacey was doing okay when she heard the girl introduce herself. The girl's pack was starting to take its toll, but Surreal had noticed the possessive way she handled it. Far be it from the woman to make the girl hand it over as if she had some kind of charge in the girl's life. She resigned herself to leading the way and letting her new friends carry all the weight.

''You are most welcome, I understand your name is Surreal?'' He said with a small pitch of the voice at the end. ''And it is a pleasure to meet you too!'' he grinned at Stacey. ''It's great that I ran into you lovely ladies, I really don't know this area and I don't know anything about the people here, I hope you can fill me in. I heard all kinds of rumors about mages and vampires... Heh! I never saw one of those, my father told me that they are real, but even he only got a small glimps at a vampire and hardly talked for an hour with a mage. There were even supposed to be necromancers here, but I don't know what to make of that...'' He paused for a second to catch his breath and to look at his new companions to see them better. behind him Vasar was tagging along slowly. ''Oh but I forgot about your bag!'' he said towards Stacey. '' Come on give it here'' he said with a calm voice, '' Vasar vas getting bored anyway!''

While Stacey had been smiling polietely as the man spoke, her smile fell when he asked to take her bag, but she was quickly grinning again.
"Thank you, but it`s really not as heavy as it looks, just spare clothes." She insisted, twitching the bag as if to show how little it weighed. "Besides, I`m sure your horse has had quite a trip to get here, he must be tired." She looked back at the horse sympathetically.

"He he! Vasar tired? Nah, he is just lazy... like me!" he grinned..."but ok I won't insist, I see you really like that bag! hehe."
He was actually a bit happy the girl refused, he had only asked to be polite. His eyes now stopped on Surreal, this mysterious lady that was guiding him to her bar. Her appearance still fascinated Nereis as he never before saw a woman that looked so sickly yet managed to lift such a heavy bag or, even walk so calmly on such a hot day for that matter. He now moved his eyes forward to avoid crossing his sight with hers, the noises of the marketplace were starting to fade and a small silence surrounded the group as nobody was talking. But Nereis was getting to tired and his throat to dry to start a new conversation, he could already feel the excellent sensation of a cold beer running down his throat...

Surreal knew she was home when she smelled brine and sneezed. She could just barely hear the heavy lapping of the ocean against the pier. Turning a corner, she grinned back at her friends and pointed to the dirtiest, most salt-encrusted bar on the pier.
"Welcome to the Odysey!"
((I suggested we continue this thread at the Odysey since we will be there. I'll create the new one...see you two there!))
