The second night without sleep... but strangely his body was not tired, not even his mind...
The visit to the white tower had thickened his thoughts and sleep was not possible with all the images and ideas running through him. Mixed feelings of debt and appreciation flowed through his chest, could he give something back some day?... Perhaps... but for now he had to focus on closer events...
Nereis was riding slowly towards the outer city. Night had covered everything, the only lights were from the stars above and the city behind. The slow clap of Vasar's hooves on the road kept Nereis's mind focused. He knew where he was going, a funny merchant had told him about the "Mysterious Tomb outside the city... There be strange folk walking around that place! Especially at night..."
"The stranger the better!" Nereis said out loud... His face was fresh, and his arms relaxed, his long hair was tied in a very strange long knot so it wouldn't get in his way should there be trouble.
In front of him a large mound appeared. Looking carefully he could just barely see a small reflection of starlight on what seemed to be a iron door at the base of the mound.
"Come on boy! We are here..."
Vasar started moving faster towards the mound.
The only sounds that could be heard were the songs of the crickets, the only things that could be seen on the ground were shadows with the forms of rocks and tree stumps.
Looking at the stars Nereis recognized certain constellations he had learned when he was a child. The moon was nowhere to be seen from where the young man was looking, he thought this was odd but he didn't give much time to that thought, he had bigger things to ponder on.
Suddenly Vasar stopped and the crickets went silent. A small gasp of wind moved over the dry road, raising a small cloud of dust.
"What is it boy?" Nereis said with a startled voice. The feeling that he was being watched made him reach for the hilt of his unusual sword.
With the corner of his left eye he caught movement and he turned his head. From behind a large rock two green eyes were staring him down. Before he could focus on them they disappeared.
Nereis's posture had stiffened, he knew he was now under siege. keeping an eye on his left flank, his right hand reached for the short bow strapped to the horse's saddle, but just as the tip of his fingers reached it, from the right a shadow jumped with great speed. Nereis hardly managed to turn his head before he was knocked off his horse by the attacker.
The impact with the ground was harsh, before the young man could draw his sword he felt a ice cold hand grabbing his wrist and another grabbing his throat. By instinct he reached with his right hand to try and relieve his breathing but the attacker was stronger. Looking up Nereis saw the white fangs and devilish smile of a vampire. He tried to get up but he was pinned to the ground, the attacker over him with a tight grip on his throat and left arm.
"AAAAh! It has been a long time since dinner walked foolishly to our house! I should thank you for sparing me the walk to the citty! Now be nice and don't struggle, it is useless anyway!!!"
Despair struck Nereis, he couldn't free himself from the grip, but behind them the sound of four hooves made the vampire turn his head. Vasar had turned his back at the attacker, he raised himself on his front legs and bashed him with his back legs.
Nereis felt the grip released, he caught his breath and drew his sword as he got up.
The vampire had been thrown about two meters, he stopped at the base of a large rock, he was still dizzy. Seizing his chance, Nereis charged with a loud war cry and cleaved the vampire's head with one swing. As the head tumbled down the road, the foolish young explorer fell to his knees besides the body, breathing franticly. He had escaped death once again
Reaching with his hand he noticed that the vampire had made a small cut on his neck when Vasar bashed him off his master. The cut wasn't deep, but it was stinging badly.
After about half a minute Nereis got up and walked to Vasar. He pat him on the neck and said with a trembling voice:
"I owe you again my friend!"
Behind him sounds of movement drew his attention, he turned quickly and took an aggressive guard, holding the long hilt with both hands and pointing the tip of the blade at the possible attacker.

Drazen held her in one hand, his other hand ran over her frightened, tear stained cheek. He watched the scene play out before him and after the human had beheaded the foolish vampire Drazen raised a brow and tilted the girls head to the side where he bent over her and ripped open her throat, drinking from her what life she had left before throwing her body through the small grove of trees to have it land at the humans’ feet.
The other vampires were moving about like vicious animals wanting to attack the human, but as usual, they made no move without their leaders ok. Drazen was not one to take disobedience lightly and they all knew better than to overstep their bounds. The one, who had attacked, had done so at Drazens’ order. The elder vampire wishing to see what this human might be made of, and in fact, it wasn’t so much the human that had impressed this vampire as the work between the equine and master together.
After a few more moments, Drazen caught the attention of the other vampires and ordered them out into the night to feed elsewhere. He was inclined to perhaps let this one go, if he was worth letting go after all, if not, dessert would always be a nice ending to the small dinner he’d just consumed.
Drazen walked forward, nothing special, no rushing or theatrics, simply stepped through the bush and into the clearing where the human and his equine now stood, ready to fight again. His sword was sheathed at his side, the silver-tipped weapons on his fingers glistened though were slightly spattered in the girl’s blood, as was the front of his black shirt, though, being black, one couldn’t see the stains. His piecing ice-blue stare was what set him apart from most the others of his kind, it wasn’t feral or even crazed seeming, but very intelligent and held within it such evil that it sent chills down the spines of most who cared to look too deeply. There was however within that stare as well a patience that seemed almost unreal, as if this vampire would wait until the end of time to gain what he desired if he had to.
The darkly clad vampire stopped, just within earshot of the human and his equine and stood silently watching the other for several long moments before he would say anything, his mind calculating.
“You are either very brave, or foolish, for wandering in here boy.” He said in a gentle, almost quiet tone, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. “What business do you have here?” He then asked, still in that very quiet, even tone.

The mutilated body of the young girl crashed before Nereis. The young man pointed the blade at the head of the body and took one step forward before he realised that it was in fact a victim, not an attacker. The look of terror frozen on the face of the girl enraged him.
"What beast could do this to the innocent?" He thought, and soon came the answer.
The sound of movement filled the trees around him, but it quickly dissipated. Was it the sound of ambush or retreat?
In front of him a dark figure appeared... Nereis heard the words of the vampire, but his mind was filled with the rage gathered from the attack and the death of the young lady. He calmed his breathing for a few seconds then spoke with an angry voice:
"I came here to see if you had something that interests me, but I have already learned that you have nothing to do with what I search for... Hah! I was foolish to believe I could find light in the darkness!"
He brought the blade in a parallel position to the ground, his hands gripped the hilt tightly.
"Tell me vampire... ,he spoke with a harsh voice; I know that you must have drank the blood of many humans in your life.... but did you ever, even once, regret it?"
Nereis lowered his head slightly and gave the vampire a piercing look from beneath his eye brows as he awaited a reply.

Drazen found the young males’ actions at the sight of the dead corpse of the whore at his feet to be at the very most, slightly amusing and a low chuckle emanated from his throat, though his lips did not turn up to form any semblance of a smile. He watched as the human stepped forward, his sword now even with the ground, ready to fight still, even at his obvious, less than hopeful position. This however added to the amusement that Drazen was finding in conversing with the human.
The vampire listened now to the young mans’ words and his lips though turned to form a semblance of a smile at the completion of the mans’ voice, did not make his sharp features or deadened, evil gaze any the more jovial under the light of the stars that did show in the sky at this point.
“Oh I have killed hundreds of thousand in my time boy.” Drazen began, his voice still quiet and calm. “Though I do not remember once feeling regret for sustaining my life, no, boy, I can not honestly say that I have ever once regretted killing anyone.” He finished with a slight shrug to his shoulders as if it was a silly question to ask of him in the first place. “Even as a human I quite enjoyed the silence of the dead to the loud cries of the living before or behind me.” He added with all honesty.
It was true, Drazen having been one of the most feared Pirates of the seven seas when he was Captain of his own ship those hundreds of years before had never once truly enjoyed the living annoyances of other humans around him and quite preferred a dead one to a living. His change to a creature of the eternal night only meant that he would be given the chance to kill just that many more in his seemingly endless lust for death.
“Tell me boy.” He then said, taking a step forward towards the man. “Does a human who eats a steak in his home stop to consider the animal for which he is consuming and feel remorse for that creature in any way?” He then asked, knowing he would be returned with such dribble as how this one had. “Certainly I feel a sort of compassion for those I slaughter to feed my un-life, but then I would suppose a farmer does as well feel thankful for the cow he puts down to feed his family as well.” He finished the line of thought and his silver tipped index finger tapped the hilt of his sword at his hip.
Drazen was of a mind tonight to perhaps help this young human find a light that had come from darkness as he knew that the Queen would be more than happy to enlighten this one’s soul and it might gain him brownie points in her beautiful mind if he did, but he would wait, he still wanted to talk to him longer as he was in a mood for conversation that had more intelligence than the crazed brethren that he commanded.

Nereis raised his head and after a few seconds of thinking he lowered it again, shaking it from left to right all the way.
"The difference... between a human and an animal, is that animals do not have the power of deep thought, of creation. They cannot manipulate the elements, they do not understand honour, they do not spend their lives trying to find a meaning or purpose... they just are."
He raised his head and looked the vampire straight in the eyes.
"Humans have the power of discovery, of learning. Humans have a choice... to choose a path in life. This power of choice makes us what we are... We can choose to pursue the light... or we can pursue the bottomless pits of darkness. We can bring joy to the life of others, or we can bring unmeasurable pain..."
He paused and took a long breath. His posture hardly changed, but his hands where gripping the hilt so strongly that they started to shake, making the chain mail armour give out soft rings like tiny bells. He bit his lower lip gently then continued:
"In the many years you have killed people, you might have killed many dark souls, but I am certain the pure and the young also fell before your talons. You may have relieved some pain, but you brought a lot more... And that I cannot forgive!"
His left leg moved forward, hardly noticeable because of the long black kilt, his arms slowly raised the blade to the right side of his head, his eyes turned and admired the well crafted weapon once more before he spoke:
"And you say you have never felt regret... Don't worry.... I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET THIS NIGHT!!!"
Dust was lifted behind his legs as he began his charge, in his mind the attack was already planned. The blade was lifted over his head, giving the impression that the first blow would be to the forehead, but when he was in range for the strike he side-stepped to the left and with a powerful swing he attacked the chest of his enemy.

Drazen listened to this human, listened to the way he talked, listed to the adrenaline that began to stir even harder in his system as it boiled and fueled the young mans anger. His words were words the vampire had heard far too many times from other foolish youths such as this one and it was no surprise at all when the man began his charge, only problem was, Drazen wouldn’t have stood there like a wooden practice dummy, nor would he draw his sword to protect himself from that first attack, no, the vampire jumped over the man so swiftly that in the mans rage, he wouldn’t have even noticed until his sword swept through air.
The moment the swift acting, agile creatures feet touched soil again, keeping his mind on the equine, as well the man, he moved with great speed to his left and back in front of the human, approximately the same distance as before, though still, keeping the equine behind the human his sword still silently ready to be drawn in its sheath, a most amused look on the vampires face.
Low, evil sounding laughter filled the clearing when hr once more came to a stand still, his eyes still seeing the human and all around him, his other senses, as heightened as they were to begin with, now even more aware of what was going on around him.
“Typical response from a foolish boy.” He spoke, this time his voice holding in it a certain amount of disappointment. “And here I would have thought you brave, instead I find only foolishness. Perhaps you are not worthy of her after all.” He continued, his index finger once more tapping against the hilt of his sword. “Yet I still wonder…” He then stated, contemplative notes coming from his voice this time.
Drazen surely did not want to kill this human, but would, if he was made to and in his mind he made a check mark. Strike One he thought and his lips turned back up slightly at the corners of his mouth at the thought.
“So, you will play God then, and be my judge? Are you truly so Narcissistic that you think you are the one who should judge me for what it is I do?” He then asked, raising a brow at the man. “Here I stand, my weapon is not drawn, nor have I drawn it and yet you still would attack me as if I personally have given you reason? Perhaps you should look inside yourself before you go judging others, boy.” He then added, his eyes leveling on the youth.

Nereis expected many things from a fight, but never before had he seen a jump like that, or such speed in movement. This was the first time he had a duel with an elder vampire so every move was new to him.
When the vampire was in front of him, Nereis placed the blade by the right side of his head again and held it vertically. But he did not attack. The words of the vampire tickled his mind, and a soft smile appeared on his face. He replied with a surprisingly calm voice:
"I do not judge you as God, I judge you as a man judges another man..." he tilted his head slightly and laughed quietly before continuing:
"It is funny actually, my first encounter with a vampire and I find that you are not as mysterious or wise as people say you are. Scary perhaps, but only while giving circus acts in the air..." He gave a wide grin before explaining himself:
"You call me Narcissistic? Do you not realise that you are the one flattering yourself? You brag about how you have killed thousands and what pleasure it gave you... in all that time you were doing nothing else than feeding your ego, making yourself the Judge of the world, and your sentence was Death to all. You believe yourself to be close to a god, not me!"
The young man's heart was calm again. This was no superior creature, just a man that had lived too long, his agility was not to be neglected but in his mind a strategy was already brewing as how to either limit the adversary or to make a dashing move which would surprise him. However there was one more thing on his mind.
"You say I attacked you when you hadn't even drawn your sword? I can bet anything that girl back there didn't even have a sword, so don't play the hero! Besides you animals attacked me first!... But I wonder..."
He paused and tilted his head again.
"You didn't fight back, that means that you are either a poor fighter or you have an interest in me. If it is the first you are safe, because you can clearly outrun me, so I doubt I will catch up with you to finish the job. But if it is the second you would only waste your breath, as I want nothing to do with you beasts!"
The last words where harsh again, and his body was bursting with energy, he made a step to the right and moved the sword in his left hand, still holding it vertically. He raised his right hand and placed two fingers in his mouth, a sharp noise filled the forest as Nereis whistled for Vasar. Behind him the faithful horse twitched his ears then raised himself on his back legs, giving out a cry that reassured Nereis that his companion was ready. When the front legs of the horse reached the ground again the animal charged at the vampire. Nereis turned his head and estimated the distance, when Vasar was parallel to him, the young man reached out and grabbed on to the horses' neck with his right arm, also launching his body upwards. The momentum lifted Nereis into the air and he landed firmly on the saddle while the horse was still at full speed.
This move was one of young man's favourite, he often practised it with Vasar in the first days after he left his home.
Grabbing the strap firmly with his right hand Nereis lifted the sword over his head with his left hand. This time the vampire couldn't jump over as the hight was almost doubled.
The speed of the attack was frightening and the distance reduced in a second, Nereis aimed for the vampire's head and struck down with all his strength.

This human would prove himself sooner or later, or would end up dead. Drazen was not as stupid as to allow his death to come from a mere youth and his pony. His near over 400 years of fighting had prepared this vampire with much to be armed with and still, he would not draw his sword to fight him. He wanted to prove to the youth that anger never solved a single thing and angry was not what Drazen was, perhaps becoming a slight annoyed, he was after all a very patient creature.
The use of the equine was a good idea, but not for a fight with a vampire, not like this. Didn’t the human realize the advantage he had, had when the two of them could have fought separately? To this, even in his movement, Drazen smiled at the lack of foresight this young man had in his current attempt at taking the vampires’ un-life out from under him. This new move, was both foolish and very well could have cost him his mount, though Drazen was in a particularly kind mood and would allow it to live, for so long as he could at the very most.
A horse, no matter its training or strength and speed, was still no match for even the younger of vampires. Tonight would be a lesson for this youth, a lesson that he might not live to gain experience from should he keep this current set of attacks against him, the vampire that had attacked the man earlier was more animal than anything else, Drazen was not. Drazen had fought in wars, had been against countless numbers of trained warriors and their mounts as well as assassins and many more who would take this youth in seconds should he have tried this with them and yet, here Drazen still stood, most alive and still enjoying his time on this earth whilst their bodies rotted away to mere ash under the ground or eaten away by crabs at the bottom of the ocean. To attack a vampire in a face-to-face battle was both insane and foolish, to face a vampire, who had made his living out of fighting and general destruction even in his human years, was even more so.
This time, the humans’ sword would clip the vampire but only because Drazen had decided to prove his point a bit more clearly this time, instead of simply dodging aside. As the sword came down, the animal rushing at him with great powerful strides, the vampire lurched forward, taking the slight sting of the blade to his shoulder, which to him was nothing for the moment the steal cut the vampire, he would start healing and seeing as how he was moving the same direction the blade was swinging, it would have done nothing much more than give the vampire a slice over his shoulder about in the spot where the neck meets the shoulder on any man. He then reached out and allowed the strength of the equines body to press itself against his clawed fingers which would tear open its flesh as, well the humans leg, from chest to flank before Drazen would spring backwards, no flip, just simply throw his body backwards with the same speed the human would have seen earlier and land now on the other side of the clearing.
“Foolish move boy.” Drazen then spoke, his temper still in check, his voice still calm though his eyes told that he was most irritated at the humans’ continued attempts at taking his un-life away.
“I do not believe I have ever said I did not think myself a God, by the way.” He then chuckled, a dark sound at most as he waited for the speeding animal to make its clumsy turn, or speed off into the dark. As no horse, no matter how trained could simply stop at the speed this one had been putting forth without injury to itself.
Strike two Drazen checked off in his mind.

Warm blood started flowing from horse and master, drops formed on the the edge of his boot. He felt the claws slashing his flesh but it all happened so fast he couldn't respond in any way. Vasar shook his head with pain, but the strong horse wasn't at his first battle injury, however he did slow down and Nereis didn't push him harder, they stopped slowly after a few more paces and turned towards the enemy.
Nereis moved the sword in his right hand and placed his left over his wound. He felt the sliced muscle and realised that the cuts were a few centimetres deep, but he could still move his leg so it wasn't devastating.
He looked over at his enemy, he was happy and safe on the other side of the clearing. His words of megalomania didn't surprise the young man, he had guessed the personality of the enemy correctly, this was one more step towards victory.
His eyes now moved on the blade of his strange sword, in the centre there was a large bloody stain from the beheading of the first attacker, but towards the tip there was a line of fresh blood, still dripping.
The young man's face was covered with the look of pain, but the edges of his mouth turned upwards when he realised that he had pierced the skin of the Vampire.
He moved his left hand from the wound onto Vasar's neck and gave him a short friendly tap which left a bloody impression of his palm on the black fur of the animal.
"It is all right boy! he said in a whisper. We have the edge now!"
And raising his head he spoke loudly at the vampire:
"Of course it was foolish! What idiot would make the same mistake twice?...What fool would try to make the same attack again if the first failed so miserably?"
He paused and grabbed his leg again, he closed his eyes for a second to try and cloud his pain, of course it didn't work. He took a long breath then continued:
"The reason... is that it is not as foolish as it seems!"
He placed the blunt part of the blade onto his shoulder, resting his fist on his right leg.
"When i decided to come here I knew I would probably face something unexpected so I didn't come empty handed!"
He moved his left hand from the wound again and detached one of the small bags from his belt. He ripped the string that was holding the mouth of the bag, then he tossed it onto the ground that was separating the two warriors. From the bag four pieces of sliced mushrooms with a sharp red colour rolled onto the dark ground.
"I am sure you recognize them. People all over the land use the spores to get hallucinations and euphoria. I would have consumed them myself, but I decided it was better to rub the spores onto the blade of my sword."
He ended with a wide grin. His right hand moved the blade to the side of the horse and held it parallel to the ground. His legs gave the horse a soft kick and Vasar started moving slowly towards the vampire.
"So you see my God aspiring friend, my charges never had the purpose of killing you, I merely wanted to slice your skin. Your proud personality assured me that you would try to humiliate me before you actually tried to kill me, you are your own worst enemy!"
He laughed loudly while keeping his eyes on the vampire's face, hoping to see his reaction. His leg was still bleeding badly but he knew he could heal it with herbs later and that he could also take care of Vasar, he just needed to survive this fight that was finally turning into one he could win.
"I heard you vampires are quick healers, and I know it will not affect you as strongly as it would a normal human, but you might find your movements, a little slower than usual... Also, if you see three of me charging your way... I'll be the one in the middle!"
His legs stroke the horse and Vasar began his second charge towards the vampire. His movement was slower and his left leg now had a limp, but he would obey his master to the death.
Nereis steered the horse towards the right side of the vampire so that he himself could strike with his right hand. He didn't raise the blade again, instead he turned his wrist and pointed the tip towards the ground. The strike would come upwards this time, covering the flank of the horse and limiting a counter attack from the vampire.
Nereis knew that the effect of the spores would be limited, so he made the most of the short time he had before the vampire returned to full strength and overpowered him again.

“Psilocybe” Drazen grinned. “Good I will have a nice trip later.” He finished as the human began charging foolishly towards him once agaun.
The human was putting a lot of stock into the physiology of what he thought should be a vampire’s. He was close, very close in his assumption that it would affect Drazen, however his time might have been slightly off. Vampire’s heart did not beat and so therefore, their blood did not flow through them as humans’ did. Certainly the affect of the, Psilocybe semilanceata, or liberty Cap, would eventually effect him, but much like alcohol, it would take a lot longer to even register that the halusinigen was there, as well, the dose would have to be much greater than would effect a human. In short, in a about another 30 minutes or so Drazen would be flying happily in the tomb below the city. All the spores did now was to numb the area they had entered, but little more.
With the humans strike coming from below and up to slice the vampire’s head from his shoulders it would have brought the mans arm in a slight arch. Definitely a slower attack that the one before and Drazen would have to time it right and he would, to make it inside the attack and up. He launched himself upwards toward the human, his movement was indeed slower this time, though still powerful and intended to not only knock the human from his mount, but to literally make him fly backwards off the equines back, the blade from the human would totally miss his head, but once again the vampire was not against taking a blow and he reached out, grasping the mans’ hand, all this happening at once and as he was jumping into the air towards the human, with his left and forcing the blade to pierce through his own side all the way through to the hilt as he crashed into the rider, his right hand swinging behind the mans’ head, the deadly bladed finger tips sinking in just below the mans’ skull as Drazens’ long canines began to penetrate the others flesh at the side of his neck. The grip on the humans’ hand would be near crushing, and should have the bones of his wrist near the point of breaking, and strongly held in place as they would be flying off the back of his mount. Drazen intended to not only sever this mans’ spine from his skull but to actually rip it from his body, but first he would taste of his foe, taste the blood and hear the memories of this foolish youth.

Kyrea had felt him, felt the mingling changes in the dark ones soul, the dark one known as Drazen. He was up to something, and that something was not good, as it almost never was. She had made her way through the city and did notice the creatures of his homemade pack running about without him, something she found less than a great thing.
The small queen made her way to the clearing and what she saw was something she had expected, though the dead vampire on the ground made her hesitate slightly. Was this a hunter that Drazen fought or, after seeing the dead girl, was this just Drazen being Drazen? Either way and if she wanted answers on both sides, she would have to act swiftly as Drazen already had the human in his clutches for what surly would have been a final blow and for some reason, this really made the queen angry. Or maybe it was the anger dripping off of Drazen that made her as such, it wouldn’t matter either way, she’d have her answers and she would have them shortly.
Kyrea sped into the clearing, the force of a strong wind moving in front of her as she commanded it to sweep in and literally push the two fighters apart, sending Drazen backwards and causing his fingertips, not yet embedded all the way to loose from the humans’ neck as well his canines to rip out of his neck, this Kyrea knew the rip was not going to bode well for the human, nor would the fact that she would have just sent him flying backwards to land forcefully on the ground just as hard as Drazen would find himself slammed into a tree on the other side of the clearing.
It was a risky move with a human, but a lot less risky than what was happening to him before hand. If her move was successful, and it should have been, he would survive it though. The only problem now would be to stop his bleeding before he bled out. As for Drazen, she would deal with him, he wouldn’t’ make a move against her, at least not at first or directly at this moment, The thing she would have to worry about, were the others, if he called them back and left, they wouldn’t listen to her.

Time moved slowly in the young man's mind. He saw the vampire jump forward, he saw his blade piercing the enemy's side, and for a moment, he felt that victory was near, but the crushing pressure on his wrist, and the cold claws in his neck told a story of defeat even before the two fighters touched the ground. Pain engulfed his body, he hardly opened his eyes from the crash when he felt the fangs pierce his neck... All was lost...
Even in this bitter moment, he tried to fight back, but his body couldn't respond with the same speed his mind was trying to make it move.
Slashing pain came from his neck and he felt his body light, almost like flying...
"Could this be death?" a quick thought passed throw his mind, but it was quickly proven wrong when he felt the pain of crashing on the ground again... He was still alive!
Nereis opened his eyes, his vision was blurry, his right hand was trembling but it was still holding on to the sword which was now completely covered in dark-red blood, he tried to get up but the pain in his neck forced him to stop, he tilted his head and tried to see what was around.
The thin silhouette of a beautiful lady was the last thing he saw, he tried to speak but words didn't come out of his mouth, too much blood had been spent, his mind was loosing control over his body. His eyes closed and his hand lost it's grip on the hilt.
Vasar had continued to move forward when the vampire attacked he turned around in a wide circle when he felt the weight disappear from his back. The faithful animal searched the clearing for his master, and when he saw him on the ground he raced towards him and placed himself between Nereis and the other two like a shield.

Drazen was in the middle of an intense high combining the excitement of tearing this human apart as well, the sensation of the liberty caps that had suddenly entered in mass quantities into his blood now as he had pushed the entire length of the mans’ sword through his side and then, just as he was about to latch onto what would have been the kill, he found himself suddenly thrust backwards, the grasp he had on the man sliding from him from a very strong outside force. The force of the wind swept the sword painfully out of his body as well, causing the vampire to grasp at his own side as he flew backwards to come in contact with a tree that had been several long yards behind him and now cracked even against the force in which had been used to push the two men apart.
He sunk to the ground, his feet touching soil and then made to spring forward to attack the new attacker when he noticed who it had been, and that sudden action turned into a slight stumble which ended in his kneeling and then dropped forward to land on his hands as well, his long locks covering his face for a moment until he looked up at his Queen, who did not look pleased at all, though he returned her sudden and deeply angered stare with one of his own but said nothing, only glared at the fallen man behind her as his mount trotted over to stand between the human and the two vampires.
Drazen shook his head slightly, the effects of the shrooms gaining on him as he continued to glare at both his queen and the fallen human. He remained though kneeling behind his queen, his thoughts though began to reach out to his ‘pack’. It wouldn’t be long until they would be there, and though he was sworn to obey her, they were not and if he weren’t here to command them, she’d be left to do so, should she survive their attacks.
The vampire then stood and slammed his hand into the tree behind him, gasping a handful of bark and wood from the tree, crushing it between his fingers and then threw it at the feet of the human, the bloodied handful of wood a reminder of what was coming for him in the future. Then, on unsteady feet he staggered back into the grove of trees and disappeared.

Kyrea growled at Drazen as she watched his attempt to attack and then turned to watch as the warhorse totted over to stand over its master. “Oh Brilliant.” She growled and then turned back towards Drazen again as she heard his call to the others.
“You will NOT hunt this one Drazen.” She commanded of the dark vampire, her tone snapping through the small grove like a whip before she turned away from him, knowing now she had little time to get the human away from here and to safety before the others arrived. She only hoped she’d be able to get past his horse, this she knew was not going to be an easy task and she would have to calm herself in order to do it. Normally, she would not have allowed Drazen to fade away so easily, but at this moment, the safety of the human was far more important than that of speaking harshly to Drazen about his choice of activities and her disapproval of them.
Kyrea started ripping apart her skirt in long strips as she walked slowly over towards the fallen human and his mount. Her movements were sleek and smooth, though silent and open. She stopped within a decent distance from the mount and bowed her head to him.
“He needs help.” She stated in a soft, very caring tone, almost pleading at the same time. “Please.” She said to the horse, holding out her hand to him as she kept her head down and held several long strips of her skirt in the other and looking from horse to man. “I mean you nor him no harm, I only wish to help.” She then stated again, not daring to move forward another step unless the horse would back away to allow her to access the fallen male. The entire time, her head was bent though she looked up into the horses eye as well, so the animal might be able to see into her and see not the preditory creature she was supposed to be, but the caring creature of light she worked hard to be.
The horse would be able to sense in her the kindness she held and as well the incredible respect she had for the animal itself. She truly was not a bad creature; her heart meant nothing but the best. He would also be able to feel the sense of urgency in which she needed to get to the fallen man.
Kyrea stood perfectly still looking between both animal and man, waiting, hoping she would not have to resort to anything harsh, as she truly did not like harming any animal but in order to save a man, she would do it, if she needed.

Vasar hardly moved a muscle as the young lady approached, he held firm and patient. He couldn't understand why his master didn't get up or the fact that this lady was his savior.
As she bowed her head he followed her every move, but his ears turned towards her when she started speaking. Her calm words didn't upset the animal, and as she extended her hand showing him the torn pieces of her dress he reached out with his head and took a small sniff. Breathing out calmly he moved forward and placed his nose close to her bowed head. He sniffed her face twice and clapped his front hove on the ground, then he lifted his head above the kind lady and turned around towards his master.
Nereis was still unconscious, Vasar moved by his side and did something very unusual for a horse, he sat down beside him, bending first his front legs then his rear. With the tip of his nose the horse started pushing the young man's face, gently trying to wake him up from his apparent sleep, as he didn't respond the horse released a soft repeated cry, it was slow and sad. Failing to awake his master he placed his head on the grass beside him, repeating that sad cry over and over.
