Sky gave a little chuckle at the thought of her play with the other, drunken comrades. She certainly could have fun with them, though she would still have to maintain a sort of restraint tonight as well, as she knew drunk Mages could get a bit out of hand to put it simply enough and she definitely did not want to be the one who started that.
“Oh, I am certain we will have a great time Titus.” She simply stated the truth, saying we as she knew he wasn’t about to let an opportunity such as this slip by without a bit of fun himself. He wasn’t THAT stuffy after all, even if he thought he was. He played her games well enough with her and joked along side her enough times for her to know better than to think he was that stuffy, if he was, they would not have gotten along from the start.
They made their way through the market place talking and joking about the night’s upcoming Mage party, as it had been named, properly. Sky suddenly just started laughing and then stopped just as quickly as she had started. “I just had a picture of what the place might look like in the morning.” She stated a bit shocked. “Oh my.” She then stated with a giggle. “Well, I know what I am planning for tomorrow along with moving.” She then chuckled. “Better get out the hoses.” She then laughed, hanging on his arm and giving it a squeeze and release again.
She had just had a picture of food and spilt drinks on the floor, walls and who knew where else. Then of course there was the nice lawn between the two buildings, a perfect place for people to wonder off into and have shotgun practice with the empty containers they find lying about. And of course, there would be those who won’t be able to hold their liquor as well as they thought they might and God only knew what else might be in store for clean up in the morning following. All of this however did not discourage Sky; it actually made her happy to think about. Almost like seeing the dead come to life, that was what all of those things signified.

“Why would we need hoses?” Titus slanted his head slightly sideways as he asked. “There are no books on the foyer floor and magic is allowed there.” The old master mage grinned and then squinted as he tried to recall something from his overfilled memory. “What’s her name?” he muttered to himself under his breath. “Ariel.” He stated with a satisfied look. “She could clean the place up pretty quick.” That was one of the mages who Titus hadn’t spent much time with in quite a while, and who actually deserved far more credit than he gave her.
They were arriving at the caterers’ then, and Titus opened up the door to allow Sky through. The reception woman knew who Titus was of course, as most people in the city did; he was something of a somebody after all those centuries – millennia – serving Celesta. “Master Titus!” the young woman was enthusiastic to see the legendary mage; star-struck, so to say. “What brings you here?”
Titus nodded at the girl with a smile, then reached for her hand and took it as she timidly took his, then he bowed slightly and kissed her hand. Titus always liked to make people feel important and for this young woman, being acknowledged by the master mage seemed to be a big deal so he embellished her. “We’re gathering the mages tonight you see.” The old mage explained with a warm smile to the flustered but incredibly attentive young woman. “And we need to feed them all. There’s no particular taste, obviously my order members are from all cultures and eras; we will like a full variety please, with more than enough quantity to feed an army barracks please.” The girl seemed quite taken with Titus, so he smiled kindly at her but kept his one free arm that wasn’t holding Sky’s goods, around Sky’s waist as he spoke. “And we will need Kegs a plenty to go along.” He added with a grin.

“Oh I am certain she can handle it, its just, well…” Sky laughed. “Yes, you’re right, she will do just fine.” She finished and took a long draw of air and smiled at the fresh scent of food coming from the building ahead of them.
The moment they walked into the store Sky could feel the other woman’s enthusiasm over being graced with the presence of such a man as Titus and as well perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. Titus had done right in keeping Sky under his arm as she was so picturing evil things to do to this little woman; it was good that neither of the other two could see into her thoughts. Sky’s eyes followed his head down as he kissed the other woman’s hand and a almost wicked smile crossed her own lips at that point, one of which she quickly put away before it was noticed and replaced with a simple, though obviously forced, friendly smile.
Sky continued to give that mock, friendly smile to the woman until she looked at Sky like she didn’t belong where she was, as if she was something that came in off the street to stand between her and ‘Master Titus.’ Though it was all silent ‘girl talk’ and Titus wasn’t meant to understand or even catch a single thing that passed between the two, Sky hoped he did catch the look she’d given her so that when this woman was running down the street some day with an electric snake biting at her heals, he would understand, though she knew he wouldn’t.
Sky chose that time to smile happily up at Titus and then lay her head on his shoulder and then stand on her tip toes and give him a little kiss on the cheek and look around as her feet returned to earth once more. She didn’t say anything the entire time they were in the store, she just simply kept a close eye on the other woman.

“You know who to charge with the bill.” The ancient master mage mused to the young woman behind the counter. “But we really must be getting along to the tower ourselves, so we will appreciate the order being handled swiftly.” Titus kept smiling nicely, but spoke with a certain manner, which assumed priority. “It was a pleasure to meet you, lovely.” He did not know the woman’s name like she did his, so he simply made up a flattering address for her.
With a low nod and a warm smile, Titus started to turn to the door, and then stopped to give Sky a kiss on the forehead. She had been quiet which was unusual, and he wanted to make sure she still felt involved. He was of course, completely oblivious to the psychic rivalry that had formed between the women.
Titus then continued to turn and walked out the door with Sky and her shopping spoils. The sun was setting over the horizon, which meant the evening’s fun would not be far away. “Not long until we have the members in for the night.” He said with a smile as he looked on to the tower ahead of them.

Sky grinned as he placed that kiss on her forehead. She eyed the other woman one last time before they turned and left the store though and as she did a light flash of electric tendrils ran across her eyes quickly before she turned and walked away with Titus through the door, knowing the other would have gotten her point and perhaps headed her warning.
She knew she had no hold over what Titus did and she didn’t even know why she allowed the other to ‘get under her skin’ in that manner, but she had and it was probably the simple look that had been thrown her way that had triggered it. Whatever the case, Sky had just tasted of jealousy where there really shouldn’t have been any, but there still was just that. She walked into the cooling air now, happily under his arm and back into the streets headed back now to the tower, or That direction as Sky would be parting with him when they reached the library so that she could get ready for the night.
“Yes, and I can’t wait to get my hand on a drink or two.” She stated quite calmly, the nagging jealousy still lingering within her person. “Master Titus.” She added with a slight giggle as they moved, now deciding of course to tease him as the way she said it absolutely dripped with mockery of the star-struck woman in the store. “She wanted to give you a lot more than food you know.” She then stated and giggled again, bumping him with her hip playfully, teasing in a way to forget her and put away her jealous moment so that she wouldn’t dwell on it, of course, or let it ruin what would be a fun night.

Titus laughed at Sky’s musing over the star struck woman at the desk. “She’s just a silly young girl who doesn’t realize the world is far bigger than any of us including myself.” Titus responded with a humored grin as he shook his head and bumped Sky’s hip back. “She is young and has eyes for the world, I only hope she opens them and takes a look at what the world can offer her. It won’t offer her me.” He finished with another grin, and a wink too.
Titus did like women of course, though he hadn’t mingled with many in a very long time, besides Sky of course and a few other mages briefly, and more recently Kyrea. His problem of not being able to relate to people had held him from attaching himself to any women, though he always maintained the gentlemanly notion to humor any woman he may meet. The girl at the counter had been pretty though, and regularly, Titus would likely have flirted with her instead of simply humoring her. He wasn’t quite sure why he didn’t, but for some reason the old master mage had felt it would have been somehow wrong. Perhaps he was finally growing old and leaving the faze. It seemed grim and somehow unlikely.
The whole way back to the tower, Titus kept his arm firmly around Sky’s waist despite the load he was carrying in his other arm. It had gotten heavy long ago and his arm was sure to be sore for a while. He would likely even have to do some healing on himself; it was a good thing he had learned those tricks so long before. Somehow, his arm seemed to belong where it was.

Sky’s’ grin broadened at his words. And she giggled again when he bumped her back playfully. She gave his arm a little squeeze and loosened it again as she had done before. “Yes, indeed because you belong to no one.” She replied and then looked up at him and grinned somewhat seductively. “Accept for me of course.” She suddenly found the words wanting to slip through her lips but held them back by instead sliding her teeth over her lip and then turned and faced forward, astonished by the simple notion of that jealousy that had snuck its way into her mind.
The remainder of the walk was pleasant enough, she was content in having him hold her close to him the entire way, which was something else, had she thought about it, that didn’t quite fit their usual flirtations, but seemed right somehow suddenly. When they reached the space between the tower and the library she sighed and loosened her arm from his then turned around inside his arm about her waist and looked up at him then smiled.
“Well…” She started. “I will see you in a little while. I really need to go get ready and pack a few things to bring up to the room.” She stated in what was meant to be her usual springy fun voice, but somehow didn’t come out the same way. “Thank you for the wonderful day Titus.” She then added, still looking up at him with her usual happy grin.
