Sky and Titus walked to the Market, the streets were busy as per the usual and the weather was warm with a gentle breeze so their trip would be pleasant enough for shopping around for Sky’s new stuff to help fill some space in her new home. Which she would need plenty of things to fill the space, but she wouldn’t get them all today, there was plenty of time for the Mage to run across this or that to put up there, but this shopping trip was a most important one to her, it had been at Titus’s suggestion and that somehow made it all that more pleasant to the small Mage.
As they started their walk, Sky noticed immediately something to start with. To their right was a cabinetmakers shop and in his front window she saw a curio cabinet and smiled. “Oooh…” she said and then laughed. “My first shiny of the day.” She giggled, shiny meaning of course a good find. She took Titus’s hand in her own and walked him over there and inside. This of course would have to be shipped over, and would probably be the only really big item she would purchase, unless of course, she came up with a good solid chest of some sort. “What you think?” She turned and asked him as she inspected it closely. “I like it.” She then added as she looked at eth price. “And not a bad price either.” She put in with an even greater smile.
She knew she needn’t worry about price, but she also wasn’t about to go spending needlessly either, she never was one for extravagant things, simply things like this, was what she liked and enjoyed.

Titus walked happily, almost following Sky as if on a short leash. It was what he wanted of course, to wander and spend some good quality time with his dear friend. She looked so happy too, wandering through the market and looking about. Titus couldn’t help but stare at his old friend’s beautiful face as her smile seemed to shine at the sight of a curio cabinet.
“It looks splendid.” The old mage replied with an enormous smile as he watched Sky inspect the cabinet. He himself had barely glanced at it, but it seemed nice enough and she seemed to adore it; that was the important thing to him. He honestly didn’t care about the price either; it could have been a pinewood coffee table the price of a house and he would have bought it for Sky just to keep that smile on her face.
The more Titus watched his old friend, the more he thought about her. He wasn’t even entirely sure what it was he was thinking about, about her, so it wasn’t something he could ask. He was still discovering his own new ambition and learning his yearning; he completely did not understand what he wanted, but it was interesting to him that he wanted something and he wanted to understand what it was.
“We will have this brought home for us.” Titus declared, still staring at Sky. “And anything else you would like.” He added with a wide smile. This was his chance to spoil his dear old friend, and he dearly wanted to though he wasn’t sure why beyond that he cared about her, and that she deserved nice things for the hard work, loyalty, and friendship that she had shown him over the centuries.

Sky gave his hand a little squeeze and then slid her from his and wandered about the store, making sure that she kept an eye on Titus, not wanting to wonder too far from him in case he saw something she might like, or simply show her and besides, she liked to be close to him.
She stopped at a small end table made of Oak, the same as the curio with a matching pattern carved into it and smiled up at Titus. “Oh, this will just have to come too then.” She stated and then smiled widely as she ran her hand over the item. It was carved out of one whole piece and so, would be very sturdy.
They walked around the cabinet makers shop for a bit longer, but she found nothing else in there that really caught her eye other than those two pieces and Sky returned to his side and put an arm about his waist and smiled up at him. She wanted to ask what was on his mind but didn’t, she knew he’d talk to her about whatever it was when he felt he had it worked out himself and she got the feeling he hadn’t quite done that yet and so, she let it go. She was happy to be shopping and even happier that it was at his side, she enjoyed everything just that much more when she was with him, rather he was buying or she was buying or even if they were just standing on top of the tower looking out over the sight saying and doing nothing at all, Sky simply enjoyed being at his side.

Titus hadn’t wandered too much while Sky was off looking around; he more or less watched her move about. By the time she had returned to him, Titus had gotten the attention of the shopkeeper. “We’ll have both these items shipped to the white tower.” Titus declared with a smile as he fished into his pocket.
“We don’t usually deliver.” The man started, though he was obviously about to announce an exception.
“I would appreciate it.” Titus replied with a warm smile as he pulled twice the value of the two items out of his pocket and handed it to the man.
“Thank you sir.” The shopkeeper replied with a smile from cheek to cheek and eyes wide open. “I will send them over immediately.”
Titus thanked the man again and then with Sky under his arm, he headed for the door. “So where to now my dear?” he asked, though he honestly didn’t care; he was out for the company, not the sights.

Sky wasn’t sure where they would go she just knew they’d get there some time or another. She was of course smiling as they walked from the store, as she would the entire day be doing so. As they moved through the street she thought about it and then simply sighed. “Well, no particular place I am certain, but..” She broke off and grinned. “Oh, over there, that’ s where.” She then changed her sentence as she noticed another ‘shiny’ in yet another store and now led him over and into another store, this one was more of an items shop than anything else and the item she noticed in the window had been an intricately carved fountain, one of those that you’d hang on the wall. This one was made out of what looked to be white stone of some sort, mixed with onyx accents that would look, of course, very nice on the wall.
As they stepped inside sky moved along and looked the piece over, she always did and she smiled, that meaning of course that it wasn’t some piece of junk that was going to break in a few days after it’d been bought. She usually had a good eye for that kind of thing, which was why she didn’t buy too much it was because the things she did have, were made to last.
“So, what you think we should feed them tonight?’ She then asked as she handed the fountain to Titus for his inspection. “Or simply do a whatever thing, no real theme?” She continued as she now looked around at the many items in the hop. She was going to need things to put in that cabinet after all.

Again, Titus did nothing but watch his friend as she inspected the designs and craftsmanship of the ornaments. “I was thinking to have something of a buffet wheeled in actually.” He answered simply with a smile as he eyed the shopkeeper, pointed at the piece Sky had been inspecting, and nodded.
“I think a good variety will be nice.” He explained. “We can give them choices of what to eat be it meat or fruits or pastries or all of the above.” Titus smiled at Sky as he looked into her eyes. He had of course been smiling the whole time, but that one was directed at her.
“There’s a shop on the way home if we take the side way back, that would be wonderful for the event.” He continued. “We can have them bring the kegs as well.” He added, thinking to save more time for the shopping rather than sacrifice more time for the party plans.

Sky looked up form another trinket she’d been inspecting just in time to catch his smile and smiled back at him as he had, the smile being so much more than simply a happy one, no that one contained how she felt about him, and not the fun she was having with him. She turned her head though after and continued to inspect another item, scrutinizing it closely before she nodded. “And this one too.” She stated pointing at it and then moving on. She had gotten the idea that Titus wasn’t even looking at what she was getting, and that was fine, she smiled about it as she felt his eyes on her as she moved around the store and they felt soothingly warm.
“That’s a great idea sexy.” She said as she continued to move around the store, now looking over a few small items that were honestly quite her. Tiny, cute little things a child might have liked though made from blown glass. “Oh now these are just too cute.” She stated and grinned wide as she inspected the tiny things.
After collecting everything and bringing them to the counter to be paid for and of course, wrapped up for their protection. Sky took up her position at his side once more, sliding a hand under his arm and holding it close to her. “That also sound like a good idea, that way we can walk around a bit longer together, maybe even stop in and grab a drink at one of the coffee shops.

Titus simply continued to smile at everything that Sky was doing, and when they went up to the counter with all the things that she had picked out, Titus simply smiled at the shopkeeper. He wasn’t doing it on purpose and didn’t even realize it, but Titus was looking mighty proud of the woman on his arm as he held her close. The man across the counter had glanced at Sky, and Titus simply grinned knowing she was a beautiful woman.
When the shopkeeper told him the price, Titus fished the money from his pocket and handed it over the counter and thanked him for the service. “Oh yes dear, a coffee shop would be a wonderful idea.” He said happily as they turned and walked away, all the while his arm locked around hers. Titus had taken the bags of Sky’s padded new possessions in hand and carried them as they left.
“What other new things can we find for you today?” Titus asked as they made their way back on to the street.

Sky walked along beside him, just as proud to be at his side, as he was at hers. After they left the shop and looked around and thought about his question for a moment, but couldn’t think of a single thing at first and it wasn’t until they’d gone a few more blocks that she did stop in the middle of the road and look around.
“A curtain, I need a curtain to fit that large window, certainly, I love to look out it, but if I would like to have a bit of a sleep in, I do fear the open window would let this beautiful sun in to disturb that.” She then told him with a smile.
A bit of a sleep in, well Titus would know that didn’t come too often but for everyone at times it did and Sky was no exception to that rule, even if she did seem never to sleep, she actually did.
“Oh where oh where…” She began to say and then stopped as her onyx orbs swept onto what she would need for her curtains. “There you are.” She grinned over at the store and then up at Titus who was holding her tiny possessions, as well that fountain, which she knew couldn’t be all to light, but nonetheless, nothing he couldn’t handle for a while and she was content to allow him to hold them for her as well. Besides, there was no use in arguing the fact that he wanted to carry them, and she knew that.
Sky took him over to the shop, this one wasn’t one of those you actually walked into, no it was a street shop and so Sky simply walked around the bolts of material until she found a pleasant shade of blue and then figured about how much she’d need then after talking with the worker, they got her all set up and brought it up to the counter.
“I think I am ready for that drink now.” She stated with a small kiss to Titus’s arm she was holding on to. “Any suggestions as to a good place?” She asked.

“Oh a curtain.” Titus stated, acknowledging the need, though he would never have thought of it. He himself had no blinds and never had. Certainly he liked to sleep in now and again as well, but he could sleep through anything if he felt like it. Just as before, Titus simply continued to smile and watch Sky pick out the things she wanted.
When Sky was done at the material shop, Titus put the fountain down on the counter and fished out the coins to pay for her purchases, then locked his arm into Sky’s again and lifted the fountain up again. “Well then I say we go have that drink.” He nodded in agreement. “The shop across the street is wonderful and the tables are large. There’ll be space for our baggage.”
With Sky in arm and all the items in hand, Titus started for the café across the street. It was a cozy place with large wooden tables in booths. Once inside, Titus put all the things down on one side of the table and then held a hand out to motion Sky her seat on the other side, where he would sit beside her.

Sky gave him a quick nod and smile and then walked across the street with him and happily took her seat at the table when offered. She looked up at him as he seated himself and then waited the server to come around so that they could order their drinks.
“This is a cute little place.” She offered as she allowed her eyes to wander over the walls, taking her time to scrutinize each and every decoration, noting the ones she liked and the ones she thought were just ok. She ended her round of observing at their table and noticed how comfortable the seat actually was, or perhaps it was the company that she kept that made it seem comfortable, either way, she was pleased with his choice of places to sit out of the weather for a few. A few what still remained to be seen, as she truly was in no big hurry and she figured, neither was he. They still had a few hours to kill before they’d have to take off and get ready for tonight, and get ready for tonight she wanted to. She even had a shower planned and everything, after all, it had been a long workday and she figured to freshen up before the night’s little Mage party began.
It didn’t take too long before they were visited by the serving woman, a nicely dressed young girl who seemed perfectly pleasant, showing them a polite smile.
“I’ll have an iced tea with lemon lease.” Shy ordered. It really did sound good to her right now, after all the heavier drinks they’d had earlier, and the thought of many more to come tonight, she figured she’d best not start drinking anything else just yet.
“I do hope we get a good turnout tonight.” Sky then stated, that little bit of excitement coming to her voice again as she thought about the night ahead. “Though I have a feeling we will.” She added, turning to Titus and positively grinning from ear to ear.

“Yes.” Titus affirmed. “I’ve liked this place well enough to return a few times despite my eternal quest for new samples.” He explained happily and even proudly. He was happy that Sky liked the place as well.
“I’ll have a tea please.” He told the waitress with a friendly smile. “A honey mint please.” It seemed a good tasty and soothing drink for the middle of a big long day of activity.
“Oh I do hope so.” Titus affirmed. “It has been far too long since we’ve had everyone together. It will be wonderful to get us all closer.” Titus truly was excited about the new revitalization of the social order of the mages’ order. It was something that had been a long time coming and that he felt would help to encourage not only himself, but many others as well. He had realized that day that perhaps the others in whom he was so disappointed may have simply been disappointed themselves. There had been nothing tying any of them together in hundreds of years, so it honestly made sense that they had drifted. It simply was tragic.

Sky slid her hand over to his and wrapped her fingers about his and held it for a moment, giving it a light squeeze and looking up at him before taking her hand away and sliding it under his arm as per her usual and smiling u at him.
She always seemed to feel when he was thinking thoughts that weren’t happy, but not necessarily sad either. She of course felt much as he had, and though she did indeed get out and talked more to most the Mages than he did, as was the case with most of the Mages in general as Sky was simply a social little being, she had never actually done anything other than just that, talk to them in passing, never actually thought about getting them all together in one spot from time to time, if for no other reason, than to simply stay connected.
Though it wasn’t just the other Mages Sky hoped to talk with tonight. Yes, she and Titus had kept in contact at least weekly, she felt still there was something more that they were missing here, and though she couldn’t have put a finger on it, or her mind wouldn’t, for one reason or the next, she didn’t even know what she wanted to say to him. Maybe she just felt she wanted to be with him stronger tonight because of everything, she honestly had no clue, she was, after all, terrible at this entire emotional thing.
It was in that thought that their drinks came and Sky smiled happily as she sipped her iced tea and then turned to Titus and tilted her head to the side slightly for a moment as she regarded him before righting it again. “We just can’t let ourselves got so blooming drunk that we forget that bottle upstairs.” She said and then turned and took another drink from her tea.

Titus smiled and nodded at the waitress as she left them their drink and then he took a sip from his. “Oh you know me dear.” He said then smiling at Sky again. “Everything in moderation.” It was true after all; Titus always was careful about everything. He allowed no vices to grip him, nor did he allow himself to abuse anything; it all simply seemed too dangerous, beyond the basic bad idea. Titus always imagined himself the worst person possible to be pulled into any bad habit. Old habits die hard, but new ones become the old. Titus had so much available to him that he feared that if he were ever to slip, he would have very far to fall.
“This is very good tea.” Titus said then with that same warm smile after taking another sip of his tea. Really he was happy then as he held Sky’s hand in his. She had squeezed his tightly as if to say something without saying but Titus had not known what that was. The way if felt to him though made him feel wonderfully warm and almost euphoric, and he wasn’t quite sure what that was all about.
“Today is a good day.” He said, turning his head to face Sky and then kissed her forehead. “I’m glad we came out on the town.” He explained happily. “It’s not often I’ve spent this much time with you dear.”

Sky grinned at him. “Good, it smells delightful” She told him, referring of course to the tea he was drinking.
“Indeed I do know you Titus.” She told him and was going to add more than you think I do, but let it pass, she just smiled at him instead; her dark orbs twinkling slightly in the sun a sit peeked out from behind a cloud. “ And I know me too.” She then laughed, “I guess I’m more worried about me and my nature than you and yours.” She laughed again, though was honestly serious about it as well.
Sky knew she let herself get carried away at times, especially when it came to having fun. She just couldn’t help herself and had been lucky, or that’s what she chalked it up to, that she’d not been caught on several occasions with her idea of fun at times. Of course then again, she was also a very responsible person too, it was just that the idea of a good practical joke sometimes overwhelmed the little Mages’ imagination and she simply had no choice but to act on it.
“Yes it is at that.” She agreed then to his comment about the day. “I can’t think of one I’ve had that was better than this one in quite some time…” She took a sip of her tea again and then added. “If ever.”
