Kyrea paid attention though just slightly to their surroundings. She knew the place like the back of her own eyelids after all and could sense anyone or thing that might be creeping around out in the night, so didn’t have to look about, but she did notice him checking it out. His attention to details was a good sign that at least he was aware that to know his surroundings was a good thing.
“Oh, right now there are approximately a good 80 vampires calling it home.” She replied in an offhand manner as they turned another corner and walked down yet another street bordered by a few dozen shops.
A little further now and the shops stopped coming and soon they were walking past homes, each one still darkened with the tell tale sign that the occupants were still asleep in their beds, time not yet alluring them to awake and begin their daily duties. Though at the same time the cancels in the large lanterns that lined the streets were all burned out and had stopped flickering at some point not all too long ago, and only when she had noticed this did she quicken their pace slightly as this meant that the sun would be coming up in about an hour, though it was only about a 10 min walk from their current position before they would be turning down the road that would walk them up to the great gates that would tell them, they were there.

Riley nodded, taking in each individual detail of his surroundings. "Eighty, that`s a lot." He said softly, half to himself. He didn`t think that there would be that many vampires there, and he wondered childishly how meeting the others would go over. He, in a sense, was a child compared to other vampires. He had only been around other vampires for about a year; he couldn`t take it all in.
"What do they... do all day?" He asked softly, wondering how much he would have to interact with the others. He had already learned the hard way to stay away from the sun. He started walking faster the same time Kyrea did, anxious.

The two vampires made their way down the street and then took a turn to their right and started down the drive towards the great mansion that would already be looming in the darkness beyond. A few more paces and they ended up in front of an Iron gate that, with a simple wave of Kyrea’s index finger, opened before them and the small Queen led her new guest through the gate, which shut behind them and on up the drive to the grand mansion.
He would notice the enormity of the place by a simple glance but to truly appreciate the building, one would have to step back and admire its beauty from afar. Kyrea however, didn’t give him the chance for that just now; he could do that later, if he so chose to. She took him up and through those double doors and beyond, the doors to the mansion as well, closing behind them.
The entrance hall was huge and smelled of fresh cut flowers to which Kyrea smiled gently at. “More flowers.” She grinned positively from ear to ear. “Thanks.” She said to no one seemingly but there was a whispered welcome from somewhere in the building and as well from all around them shortly there after.
“Welcome Riley, to home.” She stated, not knowing if he’d be staying for good or not, though she honestly hoped he would. “Welcome Riley” Came an echo from all around, whispers that near sang in their ears.
Kyrea turned to her new guest and smiled pleasantly at him. “See, you are already welcome in this home, we do hope you stay.” She told him with a wink. Though there seemed to be no vampires about, there obviously were and many of them by the number of whispered voices that echoed through the halls on wisps of wind. “Oh, you’ll meet up with most of them I assume but mid day tomorrow, the upper portion of the house is always closed up for those who don’t wish to sleep all day.” She then went on to explain. “You may even run into a few in this early morning, though perhaps not so many, it would seem a lot are moving off to bed.” She went finished and then took the younger male by the hand and led him forward and through the great house.
After she’d given him a lower level tour, ending at the one staircase that wound its way upwards to the second story form the entrance hall, Kyrea smiled. “And now, I will show you to your room for the night.” She finished and started them towards the stairs.

Riley was barely surprised when he sensed the large size of the area. He followed Kyrea faithfully, nodding when she required a reply. His dark eyes observed everything. not missing a single detail, except for other vampires.
When the female vampire said she would show him his room, his forehead wrinkled. "My room?" He asked, surprised at the idea that he would have his own area to be.
He looked around for any sign of another vampire besides Kyrea and himself, but he never found any besides the obvious signs of habitation.

Kyrea grinned over at him and his expression when she offered to show him his room. She didn’t know what eh was thinking at first but then her smile grew wider as she figured he thought perhaps he’d have to share a room what with so many vampires living in the house, but he would be surprised then, as he would notice, the home was gigantic and it did indeed hold over 100 rooms, including the kitchen area, where there was a supply of alcohol and water, but not much else.
‘Yes, you will have your own room, I wall just show you the first for tonight, but tomorrow night, if you choose to stay, you can pick out the one you want to stay in, there are after all, twenty more free rooms in the home.” She stated as she now took him up the winding steps that would lead them to the first corridor of the second floor.
“Ok, well most of the front ones have been taken up, though there are still a few up front here, but for tonight I think we’ll take a right down the hall and you can have the one there for the night.” She continued to speak. His lack of conversation really hadn’t bothered her much as there was a lot to take in all at one time, the whispering to one another as the vampires did and such was a little odd at times, if one wasn’t accustomed to it, of course.

Riley nodded and looked around more, his eyes wondering over everything. "Wow." He murmured. He had twenty rooms he could choose from? He never had so many options.
"Do you have any room swith lots of windows?" He asked before he could stop the words from roling off of his tounge. He clamped his lips shut and looked away shyly.

Kyrea watched him and grinned as he exclaimed his wonderment at the enormity of the place. She was so used to it that to her, it was nothing. “Ya, twenty more rooms to choose from.” She stated as they moved forward. “And you may want the one corner room left then as it would have the most windows.” She finished still with a smile as they made their way further down the long hallway.
The little Queen wasn’t at all surprised he wanted windows, many vampires loved to have window to look out of, the night is as beautiful as the day and sometimes even perhaps even more so and so, there really was no reason fr her to wonder why it would be he wanted the extra windows.

Riley only nodded, still folowing close to Kyrea as she walked. He loved to watch the night sky; a habbit he had gotten into from being in the forest and having to hide all day. The night was the time he could safely observe the things around himself, and he took advantage of that.
He ha dlearned everything he could about the stars and moon, squeezing every little piece of information he could out of whatever resources he could find.

Kyrea watched this vampire and continued to smile over at him and they now turned to the right and moved down the hall a bit further. She went past however; the intended room that she had for his stay tonight and moved further toward the end of the hall.
“If you desire at some point, we’ve even got a telescope mounted on the top of the building, it isn’t too widely used and so you should have great access to it. I also have a grand library here for study of just about anything you can think of, I know there are many astrology books in there.” She told him, her interest in this male growing all the more as she listened to him and watched.
Kyrea was a VERY educated being and she loved intellect and took a liking to those who sought knowledge.

Riley`s eyes sweeped the new hallway, noticing something had changed. He straightened as Kyrea mentioned the library and telescope. "Wow, you have a telescope? How big is the library?" His questions rolled out of his mouth.
He had loved reading and always had a few books on hand, never more than that, though. He never could really keep much with him when he was roaming for the beginning of his new life, he moved around too much. After he came back to Celesta, he rekindled his human love of reading.

Kyrea had struck another of his happy places and she smiled all just that much more. She truly did like these shy vampires, she usually could get out of them what they liked or desired, even if they were too shy to come out and just tell her. She had no idea why they thought they had to make her coax answers out of them when she had always told them to ask questions.
‘Yes we do, and it is rather large.” She smiled broadly, proud of the collections she’d gathered through the last 500 or more years of her existence. “The main part is on the third floor, last door to your left but if you look around the house, there are shelves on just about every wall, lined with books, not to mention the collection in the main entrance, surely you noticed those in the shelves down there?” She raised a brow.

Riley tilted his head to face Kyrea. "Of course." How could anyone, vampire or not, miss them. "And I`m just guessing that they are over the widest range of topics; am I right?" He asked, already knowing the answer.
He was liking this older vampire more and more. She was simply anazing; she knew everything, it seemed. Of course she had the unnatural but beautiful appearance all vampires had, but she seemed different.

“Oh yes, there are books on weather, there are fiction books and diaries of vampires of old, there are like, I said, astrology and psychiatric books, oh, the list just goes and goes.” She told him, her own mind taking on a wistful spell for a moment that she had to shake out of it lightly. “Oh, I just love books.” She told him and then her feet came to a stop at the end of the hallway.
“Here we are then.” She said, turning the knob on the door and opening it up to show him the room. “A corner spot with good views.” She finished with a soft smile.
“The room has everything you may need, of course, should you decide to keep it, you can always redecorate to make it yours.” She then told him.

Riley nodded to Kyrea before looking into the room. "Books are great, and I love `em too." He smiled, then turned around so he could see into the room.
It seemed simple, modest. Nothing to gaudy or precise to males or females. The windows were large and open, showing good views. He noticed they had thick coverings to be used when the sun was out.
"Wow." He repeated.

Kyrea smiled once more at his reaction. The rooms in the house were quite nicely sized with plenty of room for things and furniture alike. Most vampires when they came to stay would almost immediately start redecorating as one usually like to have their room as personal as it can get, Kyrea knew she did at any rate.
“Yes, I love books and knowledge of most kinds is always a good thing to have one can learn a great many things however simply by observing others as well and so we shouldn’t ever forget to sometimes allow are books a rest.” She said and then laughed. “I do apologize, I often talk too much about learning and knowledge and get all teacher like to others.” She laughed again. “If I continue to do so, just poke me in the ribs and tell me to hush or something.” She winked at him.
