Titus shook his head at Kyrea's initial comments. "It was my mistakes, not the devil's traits that kept him alive my dear." He began, a hint of self loathing present in his tone. "It's a typical storybook case really," he continued, shaking his head at himself, "I was too good to do away with the evil before me, too noble to take the extra step. it was foolish, and it was wrong. now theres no telling where that man is or who he keeps his company with. there is so much of this world that can not be reported by any network of informants."
The old mage returned the vile book back in its box and took it up in his arms as he shook his head again, this time at the box, or rather the content of it. "This journal will honestly surpass any that you've given me in value, even as much as i will surely admire those. This one will show me into the mind of my greatest ever foe. Dakham has been my fairytale nemesis for ages, and this book is his written mind. spellbinding, would be conveniently the most apt word to describe it." Titus then shook the box lightly as a gesture. "Every pun intended," he then added, though with no hint of humor, "in the most literal and serious manner."
Titus began walking towards and up the stairs with Kyrea at his side. she was not the only one eager to be away from the dark dungeon beneath her manor. "Be careful what you trust me with my dear young friend." he then said seriously as he looked over at her. "I will most definately like to study the works in this library, though at brief intervals for obvious reasons. I will need you to keep a very close watch on my mennerisms, fair lady, for there is no limit to how these spells do cast upon me." Titus wasn't kidding, he was drawn to the lure of the darkness perhaps more than any other mage, due to his already unsurpassed understanding of magic. he simply had to excersize that much greater control over his subconcious carnal lures. "I fear that if i were ever to be corrupted, There is no one i know in the world who could vye against me. there is not enough passion in the hearts of young mages to rebel against me, and there would only be great satisfaction to the dark ones who would seek to retake the world." he paused a moment and took a deep breath. "If i ever am corrupted, Kyrea, I will need you to decieve me." Titus spoke solemly and sternly. he meant exactly what he was saying, and he meant it with every fragment of his soul. "I will need you to decieve me to pass my guard, and i will need you to make an end to me. there would be no other way to save the world from what i would otherwise be able to unleash."

Kyrea was happy to see that he too wished a hasty retreat from this dark place and as they made their way up the stairs, the torches behind them extinguishing leaving not but blackness at their backs, she listened carefully to his words, his words about Dhakham and the small history, in which she found, he obviously still carried within him a terrible hatred even as she herself had about the horrible man. She listened and she felt.
When they reached the top of the stair, she felt a twinge and she hurried past him to slam her hand against the top of the door and pushed it open with a great burst of wind and stumbled out and onto the darkening Foyer. They had been down there longer than she had hoped. Though not dark yet, the sun was definitely on its way out. She waited for him to cross the threshold and then slammed the door shut behind him in the same manner she had opened it, the heavy door sending an echo down into the depths of the dungeon library beneath.
She closed her eyes and took a long steadying breath and then opened them back up again and offered him a small smile. “Sorry for that.” She shrugged and then moved forward toward the door.
She had thought about his last words and they now struck her, the meaning of what he had said, as she had been momentarily preoccupied with the great desire to stay as the light was draining form the sky.
“You can trust in me Titus, that I will not allow you anything of that nature, though should it happen…” She looked up at him seriously. “I will do as you wish.” She finished the last with no smile whatsoever. “For now though, this is what I wish you to know and as we do not have to think the unthinkable for the now, we will move forward.” She offered him that warm smile once more and moved back to his side where she once more slid an arm under his and laid her head on his shoulder.
Though she knew his every meaning of what could happen to him, she also understood the circumstances that could arise from his knowledge of darkness, and she would have to be mindful of his moods and actions from this point on. She definitely would not want the last of his thoughts to come to pass, she rather Liked Titus a lot, even so far as to consider him perhaps the best friend she’d ever known and to have to deceive and kill him, would not be an easy thing for her to do at this point, but she would, because he had asked it of her, should that ever happen and she most assuredly did not want it to.

Titus hurried along with Kyrea at her sudden burst of speed through the door to the front foyer of the manor. There was obviously a reason to rush and Titus hadnt actually even considered it; he moreso just followed her lead of instinct. "Don't worry dear." he assured her warmly, "You handle your self well."
the old mage put his arm back around the young queen's back just as it had been before, just as she returned her arm around him. "If I didn't trust you Kyrea, I wouldn't allow myself to read any of those." Titus told her after a slight nod to her. "I need someone like you to watch over me if i am to strive to take these things in stride. Preventative measures, is what we can call your close eye on me. It could very well save the world." As extreme and cliche as Titus made it all sound, it was all perfectly honest and definately not exaggerated. For her to keep him from overstepping his own force of will would innevitably keep his might from baring against the world.
"Of course," he continued with another nod, "I hope you dont have to kill me either, but I'd rather it than let me tyranize the world."
Feeling that the conversation had fullfilled its intent, Titus looked to change the topic, but maybe not too sharply."We used to call him Darky." Titus said with a light chuckle and a healthy smile as he waved the small box in his hands a little. Since they were no longer in the dark dungeon, Titus felt comfortable mocking the evil mage again, just as he always had before. "There was never any sense in carrying the stereotypical ominous tone about our rivals, so we made good fun about them instead. honestly i think it annoyed the dark mages that we didnt seem to take them seriously at times, although we honestly always did. they were without a doubt, always a force to be reckoned with. it's a miracle we came out above them at all after all. You need to be able to laugh in life." Titus finished, a confident smile on his face as he thought of Dhakham's bitterness to his mocking nickname.

Kyrea laughed at his jest towards the dark Mage and then shook her head. “Yes, well, Darky is a much better name than those in which I tended to call him for a very long time after I had left his side.” She told him seriously, though still with a light heart as they moved now towards the front door. Her feet however stopped before the door and it remained shut, she turned her head to the right and smiled, inclining her head toward a figure, standing just outside the light. “Evening Della looks like only a little longer.” She said and then looked up at Titus and then back towards the vampire standing there, watching them closely. “Della, Titus, Titus, Della.” She smiled, as she looked from one to the other.
The vampire stood there for a moment and then inclined her head towards Titus and without waiting, retreated back into the darkness of the house beyond the light.
“She’s not exactly one for conversations.” Kyrea said. “The fact that she even acknowledged you was in fact a step forward for her I think.” Kyrea smiled as she reached out and opened up the door before them and moved them back outside again. “I expect they will all soon be moving about in there.” She told him with a smile as they made their way down the steps. “I probably woke a few with the slamming of the door.” She shrugged. “Oh well, it’s about time anyway.” She shrugged it off.
Kyrea looked around the yard as they walked, her eyes running over the many trees and the perfectly manicured lawn, the small flower garden too, that sat to their left where there was a fountain in the middle that spouted water out of the mouth of a dolphin that looked as though it had jumped out of the large pool beneath it. She then returned her gaze toward the gate that lay not all too far from them and sighed.
That gate meant the two of them would separate for a time, and she wasn’t wanting ti to end, but knew it had to be, she definitely wasn’t going to take him on a run through the night with her to feed. To this thought, she smiled a bit in amusement but said nothing.
“I will try not to wake you when I come by later.” She told him. “That is, if you are indeed sleeping.” She told him. “As I will be there, I’ve some more reading to attend to after all.” She smiled up at him as they drew nearer that gate.

Titus smiled as Kyrea returned comments about calling Dakham by names that were not his own. he smiled again, though in a more formally welcoming manner when the woman Della appeared beside them in the shadows. Titus had no time to greet the woman with words, so simply nodded his head at the darkness where she had stood. "Silence can speak volumes Kyrea," the old mage said warmly, "you know that well with Drannis."
Titus followed his friend through the yard and to the front gate. he knew well enough it was that time of day when she turned to more personally pressing matters, and he wasn't about to intrude where it was not his place. he wasnt going to judge her for her nature either, just as he hadnt done before and just as he would never do so long as he would live. "Time is indeed pressing on us." he stated matter of factly. "I will see you when next you appear, I will be sleeping shortly my dear, as this needs a fresh rested mind unhindered by the exhaustion of time." Titus lifted the box in his hand to attention, gesting that he needing a clear mind to start reading the book that was in it. he didn't want to look into it first tired and eager. he needed to be calm and collected for the subject matter at hand.
"For now i will bid you farewell, and wish you good tidings for your evening at hand." Titus warmly told his young friend as he leaned in to give her a soft hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Kyrea knew he would feel this way about his small encounter with the other vampire. She wasn’t altogether worried that he’d find her rude or anything; she was just simply, her. She smiled at his response still though, as it was still quite fascinating the way this man seemed to understand so much.
“No, no words are needed to express feelings or even to converse, it both parties are listening, that is.” She winked at him as they came up to the gate.
“Ok then, I will indeed see you later and perhaps when you do awake, we will once more have plenty to talk about. “Of course, you do know I understand if you have other things that need attending to as well Titus, your world does not revolve around me after all.” She grinned up at him and then sighed.
“Yes it is time for farewell though I fear, as you will be in need of rest, and I, to feed.” She stated openly and without hesitation as to her choice in words. She was comfortable around him, and knew that her words would not make him uncomfortable as well.
When he leaned in and gave her a hug, she happily returned it and smiled warmly at his kiss on the cheek, which she returned ever so softly.
“Until later then Titus.” She said in farewell as the great gates opened up before them.
