Stacey nodded absent-midedly, barely glancing att he object in the woman`s hand. "As you have easily guessed by now, I am new to this area. While I have the supplies I need for about a month, I do need to know where I can find... other things." She explained.
She truely did not mean this area harm, although she knew that is exactly what it seemed. If anyone knew where she came from, she would most likely get killed for being related to the king of thieves and queen of assassins in the distant city she was from.
"This town has deeper roots that I anticipated, and you know very well that some jobs are easier than others." Her eyes flickered orange and she wonder idily what Alara thought of their color change.

Alara liked her eyes the color they had changed to and the assassin actually drew up a smile when they did change. “That’s a good color for you.” She told the girl, but made no other comment as truly magic was everywhere and so it really came to no surprise that this one had something to do with it as well. The Assassin was well over the age of wondering about things in the world and when the young girl continued to speak, her ears listened and she put two and two together and imagine what happened, she got four. Alara however was no thief, she honestly cared not for them or against them, she was paid for what she did and though never did she actually even take the coin paunch off those she killed, had been followed by a desperate thief or two who had, it was easy picking for them after all.
“Oh, well I would stay away from this area if you are looking for anything but a job.” Alara stated. “I don’t give those out and you’d have to become a member of the guild for them to hike one your way, but I honestly have no objects to your picking up behind me if you ever become that desperate.” The assassin told the young girl. “Your best bet is always the market streets, the stores are all right, but the streets, from what I understand always seem to have the best pickings, especially during a warm night.” Alara then told her with a warm smile and a wink thrown the younger girls way as the small bauble continued to be moved through the assassins fingers at a very fast pace.
This wasn’t something Alara did out of fascination or the amusement of others but rather something that she just automatically started doing anything she sat idle for too long, kind of a bored habit she had guessed. Though at times, it had also been what kept her hands from striking someone who had indeed offended her as well, but in this situation, Alara was already upset, though she barely showed it any longer and, she was sitting for a very long time.

It took Stacey a short moment to realize that the assassin was talking about her eye color, and when she did realize that, they glimmered slightly.
"How do you become a member of the guild?" She asked next. While her questions were rather easy to answer, she felt like she was getting limited answers from the person responding. When Alara mentioned 'picking up after her,' she wrinkled her nose. She had never taken from someone that was dead, unless, of course, it was her job to do so. She would never take the easy money that came from a body still warm.

Alara watched Stacey for a few more moments and then smiled again at the younger girl. “To become a member of this guild?” She raised a brow and then smiled again. Not that she had anything against the young girl trying a she imagined she’d do just fine, she was well built for her age and seemed quick witted enough to perhaps take a job or two the Order would throw her way.
“A job at the guild, well, to become a member I suppose you’d have to go through that door right over there…” Alara pointed past eth crowd at the heavily guarded door near the back of the pub. “Just tell the guard what you’re seeking, they will probably already know before you even make it back there, the way news travels around here.” Alara gave the young girl a wink. “Just tell them Alara sent you and they’ll admit you at once.” The assassin went on. “You’ll be asked to sign a few papers and make your allegiance to the order and then they will send you on a few missions and decide your worth from there.” Alara shrugged her shoulders. “It’s all pretty basic, nothing unusual from any other guild I would suppose. Just don’t forget to read the fine print.” Alara then warned.

Stacey nodded as Alara spoke. "And is there ever a good time?" She asked, feeling that she already knew the answer. Her eyes sparked purple, the questions in her mind forming the color themselves.
She turned her gaze towards the door; she saw the people surrounding it and could easily guess why they were there.
"And, uh..." She thought for a quick moment. "What should I expect on the other side?" She asked, looking back at Alara with questions in her eyes.

Alara watched the girl and wondered if this was really the best idea for her to be thinking of. The guild demanded ultimate allegiance and if this one had anything, anything at all to hide, they would find out and find out quickly. She also knew that if this young female went out of the guilds orders in anyway, there would be hell to pay, no matter WHO she was. The King and Queen of this guild held power over the three main guilds in the three main cities not to mention the biggest spy network in the entire world, of course anyone who was anyone or even no one, knew that. As with the help of the Royal spies and their own, nothing got past them for long, if ever.
“Any time is fine, there is always someone back there willing to help, this isn’t an operation that relies on a nine to five basis, it never sleeps.” She answered the younger girl easily and honestly enough. “Just remember..” She added, once more regarding the younger female for a moment. “Don’t try to hide anything from them, telling the truth is always better than telling lies, no matter your position.” She added with probably a most intense honesty that the other would have no choice than to know for certain that the older woman was in no way down playing a single thing. “We do not fear anyone for any reason, nor do we back down from any, with good reason.” Alara then added, her tone softening as she spoke. Alara really wanted this girl to know what she was getting into should she make this decision.
“As for what you should expect back there...” She chuckled sightly then. “Not but the utmost in politics my dear girl, nothing more than politics, though sometimes quite... aggressive, but nothing less than.” She finished and shook her head.

Stacey nodded again, her eyes softening ever so slightly. "Of course..." She mumbled more to herself than to the person across from her.
She knew the effects her desicion would have on her; she would be bound to the guild with everything she had, and she was prepared for that. Her parents had their guild, as straight-forward as it was, it was the second largest they knew of. She would plainly refuse giving out any information about her family`s work, although she would gladly tell the present guild who she was. They would have found out quite soon enough.
Of course, there were those people who thought her family worked side by side with the Crown; little did those people know, her family had taken over and had control over thee large and prosperous cities. But people would think what they thought.

Alara laughed, actually laughed out loud at the girls’ response. She wasn’t sure if that was going to offend the other or not, but to her, the response she got was quite amusing, or maybe it was the alcohol speaking, either way the older Assassin wasn’t laughing at the younger girl, no it was simply her response and the thought of the politics that lay behind the door of the tavern.
After she had stopped her little laugh, Alara smiled over at the girl. “Well, either way you look at it, I am certain you will make the decision that best fits your needs.” She told her and then sighed. “Just mind what I have told you and don’t try to be what you aren’t and I am certain you will do fine.” She then told her and took a deep breath. “As for me, I need to get out of here before something bad happens that I will regret later on…” She looked around the room and then her smile washed away. “They all know what I am talking about, even if they don’t want to admit it.” She somewhat growled, her total mood changing all at once.
With that, Alara stood and inclined her head to the girl. “Till next we meet then.” She stated with a friendly smile and offered the girl her hand, the guild insignia ring of the elder’s inner circle gracing the others eyes for the first time that evening. “Honestly, I do wish you all the best, just don’t let the old sharks bully you, and if ever you might be in need of, or want of friendship, I will be around.” She told her in all honesty.

Stacey couldn`t help but smile as Alara laughed; her eyes changed to liquid sapphires. She knew the her elder meant no offense.
She stood as the woman did. "Thank you. I may need your assistance another day." She looked around the room instinctively, sensing other eyes on her. "But, for now..." She shook Alara`s hand firmly. "I guess I might as well get the worst of it over with." She glanced back towards the door, her eyes darkening again.

“Well met.” Alara replied in a friendly manner after she shook the others hand. “And far thee well for now.” She stated as she gave the room one last look over, that orb that hand been flying about her finger now tossed into the air and caught, never to appear again.
Alara stepped around the table, laid a warm hand of assurance on Stacey’s’ shoulder and let it slide away as she walked out of the bar and back into the night, to where even she didn’t know, she just wanted away from this place for a while.
