Titus had only just met this man, but already he was feeling a fond sense of pride over him. as well, the old mage was recollecting his ancient feelings of nostalgia in remembering the days when he had first accomplished the same feet some three thousand years before.
"I will continue to guide you in finding knowledge for as long as you will wish to seek it young man," Titus said happily, that broad warm smile still spread upon his face. "But I want to first ensure that you will not be dissapointed or misled by the speed of the progress you just made. Truly, you have grown immensly already, and you should not, can not expect to find such strides again. The journey to knowledge is a long one, and i woulnt want you to stray."
The old master stopped to ponder for a moment on what he could teach the eager young man that may not be too much of a stretch. "Now that you understand fundamentally that wood burns," Titus began with a challenging thought, "endeavor to draw the flame away from the wood that currently feeds it." There was a short pause, intended by the millenias old master to allow thought for the young student. "Understand that the flames reach away from the wood on their own, and strive to take them away entirely."
The task that Titus had proposed was not at all an easy one to first accomplish. He had decided that no task could be miniscule enough to allow Al a quick effort, so he would give him something to ponder for a more considerable time. "This is not something i think you should expect to accomplish so quickly though Al, this is meant to be a journey, and i hope you ot only was the task Titus had proposed a solid endeavor, but also the basic fundamentals to the standard fantasy any young mage ever had about fire magic. No fire ball could be created after all, that was to depend entirely on feeding from any solid kindling.
