History
Simone was born over 800 years ago to a family that hated everything. They lived in the woods up in the mountains on this cotenant. Reclusive she grew up under the strict eyes of her Shadow Mage father who began her shadow training at the early age of 5. Her talents began to show a year earlier and so, he thought it best to get her going before she disappeared on her mother and caused a fight between herself and him over loosing their only child to the dark. Himself being a Shadow Mage, Simone started to mimic him at the age of 4, like any child does, she learned from her parents, watched them until he had to step in and train her, to save her from herself.
She was a wonderful student, even for one being taught by her own parent, she listened to him and paid attention, learning to manipulate the shadows around her. She was able to continue her training in the Shadow art with her Father until she was 18 when he decided it was time she went to a Master for further training. To this, she didn’t object, by that time, her Mother had as well began to teach her how to communicate with plants to make them grow, though Simone was far better at Shadow usage, she did like to make things like vines and the like crawl on the ground and capture smaller creatures in their grasp, a dark secret she kept from her parents.
His name was Master Corello, a nasty man; his age wasn’t even known anymore and most just believed he’d simply been since the beginning of time, or what they perceived to be as such. He put on a great front for prospective students, but once in his clutches, most never saw the light of day again, their loved ones led to believe they left for other parts of the world, but Simone would soon enough find out otherwise.
It was at night when she arrived on horseback to the dark tower that was the home of her new master. The place, though dark was grand and polished. She was welcomed by a small fire sprite that led her down the path to a stable for her horse and then to the tower itself where the sprite let him in and took her to Master Corello’s main chamber of, what she would come to remember, horrors.
For the next 200 years she would endure horrors beyond the knowledge of trivial pain. She would know what shadow was, know the pain and suffering it could cause and be subject to the terrible Sadists sexual desires of her master, she never saw her family again. Nor would she, Master Corello had seen to it that her father and mother were killed in an accident, a fire consumed their home and neither made it out alive.
She finally escaped, though barely with her own life on the exactly 200th year she’d been there. It wasn’t an easy thing to accomplish, escaping a shadow Mage once he/she has their eye on you, is not an easy thing to do as they could be anywhere at just about anytime however, it wasn’t her shadow powers that ultimately helped, but her secondary plant growth that had. She had managed to set a trap, which in the end and to this same day, she hoped destroyed, her old Master by sealing him inside an old Oak Tree where he was bound head to foot in roots and vines, preventing him from shadow walking out.
She spent the next few hundred years in self study, collecting massive tombs of magic and learning all that she could and now, she walks the streets of Celesta, hiding in the dark tunnels or simply walking the streets to gain knowledge of her surroundings.
